Wednesday

Ginger had a restless night requiring a one on one attendant to prevent her from dislodging her few remaining tubes and to help manage her agitation with her hand and leg restraints. Today was another big day for Ginger. She has been moved from the ICU to a private room at the hospital. To help her safely swallow, she had a tube inserted from her nose to her stomach. Again, during this procedure she made her discomfort known with a litany of choice words. She spoke with Jack on the phone today and counted to 10. We all know how gifted Ginger is with numbers! Her voice continues to be raspy and her facial expressions are priceless. She was more responsive with Tom today, speaking his name. These small steps are very encouraging. Thank you for your continuing prayers, blog comments, food, and everything else you are doing to help Regina and all of us. It is truly amazing!
